Today a school without games and sports is unthinkable as sports and games have become an integral element of present day education.
There is a great importance of games and sports for the students. The sports teach discipline to the students. These sports are very essential for the students. They also develop the spirit of the sportsmanship and suddenly derive a lot of pleasure by playing games.
When this day is about to come there appears to be a lot of activity in the entire school premises at lime time. Children starts giving their names for different activities. All the children and staff seem to busy with some work this is because everyone is assigned a duty.
Greenfield High School's sports day was held on 6th feb. 2015 at the school ground in a frolicsome atmosphere. This is the first time when we invited parents also.
Games were distributed as individuals team games so that each and every child can participate in it. We had toffee race, hop race, book race, back race, one leg race, three leg race for kindergarten and primary wing. Team games like kabbadi, kho-kho, volleyball, long jump for senior classes.
Audience were so excited that they left their seats and start cheering. Games and sports last for about 3 hours than comes most interesting movement of appreciates winners by awarding them gifts and prizes, cups, shields.
